Celebrating Five Years Since the Father Visited the Institute for Industrial Technology

On Wednesday, 25 July 2018, some of the students of the Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT) in Isheri, Lagos, had the opportunity of showing the Prelate of Opus Dei around their school, and what they do in the different workshops. The Father was very attentive to how they narrated their gratitude and that of their families for the education that they are receiving. During the tour, he was also able to greet a good number of the employees and students.

Later on he had a meeting with the patrons and directors of this social initiative that, over the years, has helped to create new jobs. Referring to the Christian orientation and guidance that Opus Dei provides the Institute, the Prelate encouraged them to foster among the students an active concern for the common good, that would help them to influence their communities positively. He also highlighted the formation that is given at IIT in work ethics, the virtues, marriage and the family.

In the evening he met with several families of supernumeraries with their children, as well as other small groups of people.
